It was the only spot that had enough depth for the antenna. The driver's side fog panel has an air duct for the intercooler that doesn't allow enough depth for the antenna, and anywhere in the front...

I stuck mine on the drivers side, same spot, so I can 'peak' out around traffic on the highway to get a better line of sight...
