I take it the detection range on the VIP version is far better than the DSI so?
I guess they werent making enough money on the speeding fines alone so
Pm replied :).
Cripes, the detection range on the first video was poor enough, if that was the first alert anyway. The V1 kept up the alert for quite a while after you went past the second van though so it would...
Good to see that you have the Blackvue up and running :). Any detection videos or was the other van on the move as well when you encountered it?
I tried running my Plus without the GPS plugged in and it was the same. It was very very sluggish to respond to my Bushnell K band radar gun also but when I plugged it back in, it worked fine. You...
Handy with the km/h on the dashcam for any issues that arise obviously you'd have to take the sound off the clip :P
Yeah, that might be a good idea alright lol ;).
It sounds like there is something wrong with the GPS unit on your STi-R Plus TBH mate :(. I reckon you will have to send it back.
Definitely a reception issue so by the sound of it. Try and find somewhere inside the cabin (preferably near a window etc) and mount it there and see how it goes :).
I have mine mounted with...
It definitely sounds like something is interfering with your GPS reception. I have my GPS receiver mounted by a small window behind one of the back doors on my car and it works fine even though the...
GoSafe speed-camera system an
At least the judge got it right in the end :D.
Thanks for the heads up. Sneaky f**kers :mad::mad:.
Hi and thanks for the reply. I have seen that the V1 definitely seems to detect the Redflex vans over here a bit better when it is in euro mode so I would be in favour of leaving it on. My vertically...
I opened mine a few months ago with a normal Allen key. I cant remember the size exactly but it did the job just fine.
They still offer you peace of mind though. I have not had a laser save in over 3 years now and while that kinda sucks, at least I dont have to worry as much as everyone else about driving over PSL ;).
Ive heard it used a few times alright so I felt it was appropriate ;).
Yeah, I didnt mention the mute wire at the start for 2 reasons.
1, I did not realise that it was the main cause of what happened due to me not knowing how to change modes with it.
2, The V1 was...
Have you a concealed display for your V1? It might mute it for you and get into programming also if the V1's own mute button is broken somehow. That or you could buy a remote mute switch on ebay etc...
If Ka SW is shut off, the 10 segment options become active. You might want to go through all 10 segments and make sure they are all turned off.
I have done that. I went into "bands mod"...
Double facepalm on my behalf so . I tried to draw it out as close to what it looked like. I should have just said little u and it could have been sorted straight away :(.
The mute switch...
I know. Some langer eh :o?
At least I got it sorted out though. Id feel a lot worse if I had sent it back to them and paid money to find out .
Well, I rang VR tonight and talked to Michael. Not Mike V but one of the tech guys and he solved the problem for me.
It turns out that I set it into little u mode myself by accident. I must have...
Had the same problem with K-band. K-Band is not used in my area and is permanent off. After starting the engine, the STI-R gave K-Band alert.
I think this was caused by voltage...
It does but I would have to remove it from the car to look it up as I do not have a laptop.
