Saw the best one I have seen in along time today as a matter of fact. Sitting behind the wipers, on the dash, angled about 35 degrees off center to the drivers side.
Amazing.

Well the Escorts generally tell you when they need a tuneup ... which is a lot better than driving around thinking your V1 is working like new when they clearly fall out of tune on a regular basis....

I agree with Swarga. Valentine's connectors are cheap. Since I replaced the connector on my hardwire it has been as durable as can be.
Lucky you My v995 is a more of pain in the city than my V1.
Comparing V1 in L mode with automute and my v995 in City NoX with BELscorts Automute and my v995 is annoying
To the Original...
This is the main reason I no longer use my V1 for city driving. My M4 Vector 995 is now my city driving detector.
V1 is strictly a highway detector where, IMHO, it is unmatched.
Bottomline is, VR's CS is top notch...Have not had an issue yet. Yes, she can be a tad abrasive, but if you joke around with her, she is actually quite nice.
Mine does....Has anyone sent in their 3.864 to upgrade to 3.872? Is it worth it?
I don't know. She didn't sound like she was going to drop dead on the phone, LOL. She didn't sounds like the stereo-typical old lady.
LMFAO......racist.
Not "racist"...
Meguiars PlastX and a microfiber pad works wonders. Give it a try. You won't be disappointed.
Been away for a while.....Nice to see the Escort guys still love and frequent the V1 forum.....
The finest Cobra moment I have ever experienced was an idiot in an F250 cutting in and out of traffic on I-696 in Metro Detroit, Cobra mounted on an angle out, a good 35 degrees up angle with his...
Come on Dj, I feel the good in you, let go of your hate.
We will not turn, and you'll be forced to kill us:D
Cobra's are everywhere here as well (pointed down, up and side to side:D).
I do not see an appreciable amount of falses from them at all on the V1.
I live in Metro Detroit Dj. Cobra's are abound, I see plenty on a daily basis. The V1 does not false to Cobra's anywhere near my Bel 995. Not even close.
None. But the increase in K is enough for me to keep it on. All this hype about unbearable J out's is way over blown IMO.
I fully agree with this. I have had POP on for well over 6 months with J out's I can count on two hands. With POP on I have noticed slightly better K detection range. POP on is not a Cobra detector...
Most thief's are of the "smash and grab" variety. They are looking for something fast. If you keep your equipment out of site and park smartly, and not allow a thief all the time in the world to look...
Must be the brand of vehicle. Mine is quite hidden. Though I take mine down when the car is unoccupied anyway.
I think I must disagree. Mine is more concealed up on the passenger side visor than on the windscreen. Plus, no suction cups or their subsequent marks.
I ran the hardwire through the sunvisors...
X2....I use nothing else.:thumb2:
Sure do. Bel Vector MicroEye back in 1987:D
