    Re: Muting Question

There are four ways to bring back regular volume when muted.
Wait ten-seconds after you loose the last signal for a reset.
Cycle through modes until you end up at (A) mode again.
    Cycle the power...

    Re: Heres Savvy

Wow, I was really excited about the Savvy until Rags explained the user guide.

I don't know how VR can say it works with all V1 models when this guide explained that if you are not running 3.892...

Re: Is there really something new coming?

Seems like it beeps once at any new signal then stays muted at your select speed.
The single beep is to obviously warn you to monitor the signal for threat.
All the lights would still be going and...

Wow, I am surprised at all the negativity, you guys are harsh!

This device answers the double antenna false alarm problem the V1 has had exclusively in the city without adopting gps problems or...

Re: Is there really something new coming?

Already has that, simply by selecting section (A) in reprograming or by double tapping the mute button during an encounter.

    This is whats coming:
Extended Serial Protocol (ESP) enhances two-way...

Re: Delay of "t" Feature on V1

There is more than just shutting off pop to avoid a sensor hit.
1.7's don't have pop and we can pick up traffic sensors just fine.

The minimum 3-sec automute threshold will hold a single shot if...

Re: quick k band mute question

spike is what I was thinking as well
    Signal has to increase gradually
Sudden surges trip over to reguar volume

If you are using big L you don't know what the LEDs were before it went off.

Re: Where do you hide your detector?

Visor mounted or windshield mount at the top, direct wire only.
Cops don't see it when pulled over, and thieves don't see it behind tint.
Small disadvantage of laser filtering but mine still works...

Re: Dealing with falses? On the fence about V1

You can reprogram it to basically have a separate volume for K band turning it down all the way leaving Ka at a normal or higher volume like I did in my sig.
    Unfortunately 30-sec is the max...

    Re: pre-laser V1

Another reason you might think about upgrading is before a major upgrade VR had in late 96' early 97' V1 really sucked at Ka, could not remember the mode setting when turned off, and had more Ka...
  12. Re: How do I turn off the auto dimming feature (concealed display)?

Yea you're right, I was also thinking about putting a small LED aimed at the photo sensor so it thinks its daytime.
  13. Re: How do I turn off the auto dimming feature (concealed display)?

A small dot of electrical tape over the photo sensor?

Re: setting G - mute rear K band

You don't need (G) to automute the rear antenna, setting (7) works with front, side, and rear.

Setting (G) will never allow regular K band volume on the rear antenna using a logic mode because...

Re: what causes sudden short K band alerts?

Good job figuring out the solar-powered radar sensors shot last three seconds or less.
What's happening now is that you are getting two separate shots from two separate sensors.

    Since the V1...

Re: V1 settings for a TrueLock fan.

#1 As default small L and large L were only designed for X band that is why the reprogramming chart altering K band is buried on the V1 web site and not in the manual.

  20. Re: Upgraded my old V1 (bought in '98) to a new one..impressions and questions

If your true radar signals don't ghost then your falses don't ghost,
what your unit is doing is counting each door opener by recieving slightly different frequencies for each one.
  21. Re: Upgraded my old V1 (bought in '98) to a new one..impressions and questions

I am a 1.7 fan, there is no excuse for K band ghosting up to 3-4 bogies on a single K band source like most 1.8's do, this makes the bogie counter completely useless and does not happen on the 1.7...

    Re: K-Band Automuting

Not only that but if you go all the way like I do, you can have one volume for Ka and laser and the other volume lever for K band.
    30 sec limit of course.

    Re: K band suppression?

Big X 2 on that one,
One volume for K band (muted lever)
One volume for Ka and laser (regular volume knob)

Any K band noise is compleatly dead or at a volume of your choice for the time limit....
