    Pro 78 tuneup?

    Hi everyone,
I have a Whistler Pro 78 that I bought new back in 2007 or 2008. I haven't used it much over the past year or so, but I recently took it out of storage and am about to start using it...

    Good save

Hi everyone, been a while since I've posted on here.
My Pro 78 has been sitting on my desk for the last few weeks, really the only driving I have been doing is just short distances around town where...

    Re: Pro 78-good pickup today

Yeah you're right, I don't know why I didn't think about that yesterday when I wrote that message. One of the things I learned from the Valentine 1 web site is "radar can't get you from the side"....

    Re: SWS Alert!

    Cool, good to know!
Wish they would implement SWS more nationwide, based on all the messages it's capable of showing, it could be really useful.

I guess the cost of the transmitters, and the fact...

    Pro 78-good pickup today

This isn't a long range save, but something interesting I thought worth mentioning...
I was in traffic (an S10 pickup had rear ended a school bus, traffic was way backed up), behind a big postal...

Re: Is K Band a Napolean frequency?

I've seen K band around here only on school campus, some of the cop cars have dash mount units, but most of them like to use handheld radar guns.

    Re: New guy saying "Hi"...

    Welcome, Steve!
Like you, I use my RD for "situational awareness". I don't intentionally speed, but sometimes I can drift above the PSL and the RD reminds me to keep it under control.
    I've heard of...

Re: My XTR-695 has arrived - Initial musings

That's correct, I believe Mike B said that in order for the unit to alert "Pulse", POP must be turned on and the unit must have been quiet (no alerts) for 10 (?) or so seconds before.

Re: Pro 78 back to go old self

Great save. I always wonder if people think twice about passing someone with an RD on the window. I would never do it (unless of course they were using a Crapra).

    Re: Ka Falses

I had a KA alert yesterday when I pulled into a parking lot at Home Depot, there very well might have been a cop on an adjacent street, but when I parked I noticed that 2 cars had radar detectors,...

Thanks for the reply, I didn't think of that.
You know I didn't really look, but I know there have been big trucks and trailers parked there in the past and might have been there today to cause it.

    Strange K band alert

    Hi,
I was driving home today in the 100 degree heat when I came across a known K band false spot (along a shopping center). Usually, I get a weak alert, around 1-3 in strength, then it just dies as...

    Over half mile KA save

Unfortunately, I don't have a cool video to post like Jag usually does, but today I had my first "long distance" constant on save in a while (local cops prefer I/O).

    Rear laser false
