I uninstalled the previous version because it kept crashing and sucking the battery on my phone dry. :(
I'll have to check out the new version and see if they fixed their bugs. ;)
If you think it's sexy now, how sexy would it be with Trapster integration? ;)
Well, first you need a CarPC, preferably one running Windows although that's not required. The HUD One plugs into any USB port.
An excellent web site on the topic of Car PCs is Mp3car.com: Your #1...
So your preference is to make this board sound like a bunch of pedantic nitpickers? :D
Aren't you being a bit cynical? :D
Dead tired, perhaps. ;)
Lately I've noticed a growing number of vehicles with their front license plates mounted off-center, like this:

I wonder if there is any advantage from a...
Designing the software. Installing the CarPC is a whole 'nother project. ;)
Maybe these new features are Easter eggs for enthusiasts? :D
Not every software revision is released to the public. Every time they make a change, they bump the revision number, and then they test it. If they find bugs, they fix them, bump the revision number,...
Hey guys, been busy in the lab working on my next cool project. Now all you who wanted a HUD One but didn't own a C6 Corvette can have your wish: now anyone with a Car PC can have the same V1 +...
Yeah, good luck with that. :D
In any case, it is regularly patrolled by the Irvine Police Department, both in 4WD vehicles and these funny-looking 3-wheeler Segway-like things. Even if you had...
No offense, but you have been grossly misinformed. In fact, what you said makes no sense at all. If you can remember who told you this, see if you can get them to explain what they meant. :D
because in order for the GPS feature to work properly a signal must be able to be sent out of the unit, if a signal is emmited from the unit then the spectre system will be able to pick it up
...
I think you misread those instructions. GPS receivers need a clear view of the sky to get good reception; if you mounted yours under your metal roof I'm amazed it works at all.
BTW, am I the only one who sees enormous black pillars on either side of that those, skinny videos?
Am I the only one who finds that gimmick highy annoying? :D
I'm not sure why they told exotic that there wouldn't be band segmentation.
D'ja ever notice you can never seem to get a consistent answer out of Escort? Whether it's the price of a...
Yeah, except it's a crippled PLUS. Welcome to Escort.
I gotta admit, that's a nice looking unit. I'm actually tempted to buy one for one of my other vehicles. :D
That's probably it.
Every detector they make for the US market is lacking at least one critical feature that prevents it from being perfect. They have all the pieces they need to make something...
What about the one @ Harbor & Adams?
Irvine used to have some really sophisticated RLCs, but they got rid of them several years ago and I haven't seen any since (although my 9500ci continues to...
And sometimes the "auxiliary power jacks" are left live at all times so that people can charge their cell phones. It's a feature! :)
