Pre-ordered mine at lunch today. Said I should have it before the end of the month.
Looks interesting. Hate to do this but, still no source direction? I have an 9500ix and a 9500ci. Been waiting to see the next big thing. I moved from V1 to escort and love it but the direction...
Thank you to both of you! ;-)
So the outer top now says 9500ix like a new unit? Hmm, does it power up with just the USB port when you attach it to the computer to update?

Great but still can't do it. It will not download. Continues to say another version exists and remove it. But I CAN NOT REMOVE DETECTOR TOOLS. Very frustrated. Can not update either of my detectors...
Went to update the traffic cams and got notice that there were updates to 1.8 detector tools. Got excited thinking was fix to software issues. Updated then restarted detector tools. Now detector...
Glad to hear all worked out. Cliff is the man.
That would be great!
Haha. Yeah. Just needed to vent. Just wish they would cut back on the marketing and gimmicky stuff and focus a bit on the things we need.
Ok. Received email with code, activated, then waited for 3 hrs so it could be updated on their end. Then finally updated my database.
Has to be a more efficient way.
Any one order a new database subscription yet? I was surprised at Escorts process.
I went on line initially but decided to call. It's $19.99 for one year, ok, hopefully will release a shifter-less...
Yes, but hoping it's in the sub $1000.00 price point.
Well said, that man get's a harumph!
Blazing Saddles reference, sorry it's friday.
Why are there no plans to offer the STI-R Plus or shifterless 9500ci here in the US? Seem to be quite the market for one?
So what happens to the weekly RLC updates?
"Does this mean that if we own more than one 9500, that we now have to have a database subscription for each one of them?"
My thought exactly!
Cliff:
Glad to see things moving well. Good luck buddy.

Good idea Batman. Agree on all points.
I skipped it as the main display is in my gauge cluster/line of site.
I have a 9500ci that came with 3 yrs database and a 9500ix that has an expired database. Do I need two separate databases or can I just use the one for both? When both were active it was the same...
If it had GPS, I would be pre-ordering.[/quote]

X3 for sure
For what it's worth, I went out and bought a cheap PC laptop $300 and just use it for The 9500ci, 9500ix, LI's and some car software. Using my MACs for everything else and wound up being less...
To the OP - Mojohio:
Do you happen to know where they went through the firewall? Going to attempt my LI install on my Q5 this weekend or next if I can figure out how to remove the covers and get to...
This is what I'm looking for and with voice alert of front or rear laser alert! Hope to see these soon, thanks guys.
The V1 interface is nice, but not for me and the other Escort guys. :-(
My vote is for a 9500ci remote radar setup w/o the laser shifter portion.
