Tried, but im using an ipad this week and it wont let me. Besides, it old news:(:(
New issue of Motor Trend. I get it on line. I see it not on Escorts website yet.
Anybody seen the new ad for the Passport Max?
Looks like a redo of the 9500ix? Guess thats why I got a $50 of email of a 9500ix today.
I have a STI Magnum and like it a lot. Moved from a V1.
If radar detectors are illegal there. Isn't the Magnum or Redline really your only choice unless you risk a ticket for having a detector?
I've had a Magnum since Xmas. Sure, it not as quiet as my 9500i was, but it is more quiet than my V1 was. It also has great range. You might be surprised as how quiet it is and the great range it has.
The Solo 2 has been replaced by the Solo 3 but other than the display there are about the same. They are battery operated and meant for guys who don't want to run a cord or wires.
I had a Solo 2....
Hi NormSky, Im from MI also, I was thinking about the 9500ix also, are you saying to get a better radar detector or a laser Hammer also? (Or are you saying stick with a Redline or STi for the...

My understanding is no. It still scans all the bands, it just don't display the ones you have turned off. So no improvment in response time or sensitivity.
Biggest thing to worry about in all those states is laser. The 9500 won't help with that. Other than that, you can probably turn x band off.
I own a Magnum and a x50 black. I would say both are very good. So good I sold my V1.
The story with the black is Escort took an X50 and added a new antenna lens. Thay painted it black and now...
I second the magnum. But if the $ are important, the new 8500 x50 black also also good. The black and the 9500 are built on the same platform and are equal in range but you pay for the GPS on the...
Yes, the gps icon is flashing.[/QUOTE]
It sounds like Escort broke something in the update. Let us know what they say.
Make sure GPS is turned on. If it is call Escort.
Never mind just did. Doesn't say -(. I would guess a 2 amp slow blow.
Check the manual. Should be online.
Dont know. I got one at Christmas. Great deal and service.
Why? Radarbusters is $410 now.
I think you have this backwards:"The newer V1's will attempt to keep a stable LO (not crystal controlled) and will throw an 'E' if the ability to compensate is exceeded."
The newer V1's are...
I think your asking if they will interfere with each other? I've done it. The magnum doesn't interfere with the V1 but Ive had a few false alarms that I think was caused by the V1. But other than...

I had a V1, now have a Magnum.
You trade the arrows and fast response time for longer range and undetectable.
Try them both and see. To each their own.
I turn x band off as it isn't used around Chicago and will drive you nuts with false alarms. Also, TSR doesn't work for x band.
As far as I know, the traffic flow systems around Chicago don't use radar. There are plenty of other things that will cause false alarms.
