I called V1 and they could not reccomend a brand or a source for the cable. Kind of dissapointing!

V1 only offers 8' or 3" on their website, I have both but need at least 10'.

If I was a trooper and had a Spectre I would certainly target RD users because they are probably speeding. Shooting randomly just alerts the RD users. All still just speculation though.

When the V1 is attached to the visor it sets away from the windshield several inches and away from the headliner edge. The wire will be more visible. With suction cups I can easily run the wires...
