I have built and sent out a handful of them them, and people seem to be pretty happy wiith them. I don't know if I will be building another batch at this time, but if you send me an email at dolphin...
I should have new units shipping out by next week, check out the web page for details.
The software might be buildable on the windows CE platform, but I am not sure how much time that would take....
Maybe with somethign similar, but my device really needs a PC to do anything, as it is just for translating the info to/from the V1 and making it available on a USB connection.
<<<<<<<<<< this is what mine looks like :) I have the actual unit mounted out of my field of vision, so i dont really ever look at it, and passengers never notice it unless i point it out to them.
...
I have two left from the first batch, and I am selling one on eBay. For the other I am going to choose a buyer randomly from the requests that I have gotten so for, and any new ones that I get in...
I used to commute up 880 a few years ago for about 10 months, and I would see them a lot. I did most of the commuting on my motorcycle (the 55 miles from my place in san jose to downtown oakland...
I would definitely say that the arrows are not a gimmick. Around here, I often see 3 or 4 LEOs doing speed enforcement over a small stretch of freeway, without the arrows and the counter, you might...
For me, it is really ackward to mute the V1 while I am driving, and I can't see the display at all. The CD let me move it to a place I could see nicely, mute without being a contortionist, and make...
I personally have never had the arrows or the bogey counter fail me, and they have been very helpful at times.
The V1 falses a lot less that my first radar detector (I didn't know anything about...
I just received the tracking info for the last of the parts (and the most important, the circuit boards). The company that is producing them is pretty cheap for small orders, but I guess they make...
This is pretty easy to make. If you look into the accessory jack on the cig or hardwire adapter you will see 4 metal contacts. Looking into the jack with the pins on the top, you would want to...
take a look at the sticky at the top of the forum http://www.radardetector.net/INTERNAL-PICTURES-OF-THE-VALENTINE-ONE-4037t.php

Everyone who has signed up with me should have gotten an email. I am hoping to be able to place the order next week.
If you are interested, it isn't too late, so check out...
I can't speak for anyone else, but if i am driving a long way through the middle of nowhere (like from the bay area to so cal) I will put it on A because I am paranoid about getting the alert ASAP...
Hey everyone, I just wanted to bump this up one more time in case anyone else is interested before I ship off the order. Thanks.
If i can get enough interest, maybe it would make sense to build a bluetooth CD and some phone software.
I have visible only alerts that can be selected per band, and I could put something in to...
Check out this thread here http://www.radardetector.net/Announcement%3A-V1-USB-Adapter---Connect-the-V1-to-a-Carputer-3507t.php
I could see maybe a bluetooth "pager" that vibrates differently...
I was thinking of possibly making a BT version of my V1 USB adapter, but that would only work for connecting to a PC.
It seems like it would be pretty expensive to make one, and I am not too...
I am building the software in such a way that it could be pretty easily integrated into a front end. The core functionality is built into a dll. Some of the more advanced features are built into...
Hey everyone. Things have been going well, but it looks like I am going to need about 5 more people to sign up before I can start the order process.
Thanks.
You can put int your V1 serial number on this page and it will tell you

I leave it on since it doesn't bother me much, and I am paranoid. You should be able to (with help from google) find out if police use X band in your area.
I think inside the V1 is is just looking for current to flow, and it doesn't take much. IIRC a 47k resistor worked as well. I think it is just hooked up to an input pin on the microcontroller.
AFAIK, we can't do this over the phone cord, but I can't be sure. There seems to be only one input line, and it is just on or off (the mute button). Its possible that they could use that line to...
