I love racing my truck, not on pavement though and only against other trucks. My v6 Tacoma beats my friends frontier every time :)
the other day I was driving into school, and my bel 955 went from no alert to 5 bars X band instantly as I passed an oncoming car, the alert went away in about two seconds after I cleared the car. My...
A blendmount will make your V1 completely obvious to both police and thieves, even if it's hardwired. If you value stealth then a blendmount might not be a good idea.
part of the problem with American automakers
And keep my 955 falsing ka every time I pass one :(
I wonder how many times those guys were flipped off in that first vid.
I guess i stand corrected. Still dosen't diminish the coolness, 600+ hp from a v6 :)
I thought this was interesting, with all cobra's resources if they put as much effort into their RD's as they did tuning this GT-R they would be the industry leaders.

I have a buddy who recently got tagged w/ laser, and pulled over for speeding. He said that the cop noticed his passport in the window and simply commented on wheather or not he receved an alert and...
I have a 955 and have had no problems with it. On the highway ka detection continues to impress me, but cause theirs no tech display I dont kno exactly what band of ka the leos use in my area. But...
What highway specifically, I-95? I've heard roumers of speed cameras being put up under overpasses along 95 but am unsure.
SWS was a marketing ploy, it's pretty much useless. Also their have been rumors around the forum that it hinders the performance of the detector. I keep it off on my 955 and when I did keep it on it...
the r in radar stands for radio. when you are trying to get better radio reception you move the radio antenna up higher, not lower. the same principle applies to detecting radar.
also even if the cop did have a vette he would only be making the situation more dangerous by chasing him.
WOW specter immunity, I'm getting one ;)
Lions are gettin spanked. Culpepper just threw an interception that was returned for a TD. Fortunately the fins got rid of him :)
I don't have a jammer, but it would seen to me that w/ a vehicle's headlights on the vehicle would be made more reflective, therefore easier for the laser gun to get a lock on.
I almost bought a cobra, because of all the positive reviews on circuit city's website, and the idiots that work at radio shack. Then I found this forum, and am glad that I shelled out a the $200 for...
I don't but probably should, I always lock my doors and keep my windows rolled up though. But the cord dangling down from the top of my windshield is a dead giveaway.
I'm pretty sure that it's level, and yes I would like to hardwire the detector, but I'm kinda scared to mess with my still new truck, if anyone with a late model tacoma could give me very detailed...
I was debating whether or not to mount my 955 behind the tint strip so it would stay out of the sun, but i was concerned about its performance. So this is what i did. the RD stays out of the sun, but...
I think k-band will still be around for awhile, though I've only encounter it twice in FL. It still works fine for i/o, and for the vast majority of cars that don't use RD's the radar band doesn't...
because cobra has a successful advertising program, and they look nice, and their is an ample supply of stupid people to buy them. So what would be the point of making them work.
not exactly, at the bottom they mention the sti. I wouldn't even run two specter immune RD's in my car.
