Re: Alberta radar / moving lidar

Sounds like a similar trap I have here on I-77 south, he uses a Pro Laser III. Always fun watching these big hulking HP SUV’s draining their gas tanks dry trying to catch up to someone… they do...

Re: Alberta radar / moving lidar

Since I don’t live in your neck-o-woods I’m not sure what the sheriffs use there.

To answer a couple of your other questions:

Lidar: or laser is a “hand held” stationary gun only, there is no...

    Re: Is X-band dead?

Haven’t seen any X band with the staties in a long time, although I wouldn’t doubt there are a few units in a closest somewhere.

The city I’m in is mainly I/O using K, some Ka, 34.7 and 35.5 and...

Re: How much heat will fry the V1?

    The operating spec’s for the V1, -4°F to +158°F.

The storage temp is -22°F to +185°F.

I have the V1 hardwired and mounted high, off the windshield and having its own A/C vent, this keeps it...

Re: Any News For A Frequency Display?

I haven’t seen anything from third parties except what was previously noted. I talked to the folks at VR and there is nothing being brought out right at this moment.

    Re: Virginia Detector - detector

    x2 ^^

The two V1 horns are very detectable by any of the Spectre’s in VA. You would need to have an Escort M3 RD to provide stealth.

Re: Physical update in the future?

OP, VR as with most corporations are very tight lipped about enhancements. One can only hope that the competition will force the improvements or a company will start to lag behind and lose sales. ...

OP, yup cm’s on full all the time, it is the only way for me.

Re: Physical update in the future?

No word from VR on that.

They have gone from radar circuitry V1.8 to V1.85, halfway? Is 1.9x on the way? With expected enhancements to the Belscort products that may get things moving in the VR...

Re: Any ideas what is going on with this?

If you are in NC it is a good guess they are using VASCAR Plus on you. Several I know use it in moving mode also. It is used a lot more than people think in this state.

    Of course they will throw...

Poll: Re: Why do you have a Radar Detector?

I have a bit of a different slant on it. I read in C&D back in the late 70’s or so where they quoted the FOP that over one third of all tickets were given to the wrong driver! It is an invisible...

    Tks tz1

Looking forward to taking advantage of ESP! I’m running a 3.892, CD, RAD and an Atrix 2. I’m definitely not tech savvy here, but willing to help within my scope of bumbling. :p

    Re: Using V1 in Virginia

Re: The version is most accurate?

Both V1’s should be very close aside from manufacturing tolerances. The 3.813 is a pre-POP unit. I have read some go out of spec’s once a year while others say they have had no problem, depends on...

    Re: Concerned About V1 Performance

    Save your money.
Use your V1 for awhile and see how it performs.
If you're absolutely positive that there is a problem, then send it back to V1 for "repair".

There is absolutely no such thing...

    Re: Question about North Carolina

They are still legal in NC. Just make sure you have all the flavors enabled on the V1, including X. Also, VASCAR is used a lot at least at my end of the state, west / central.
