Sounds like a known speed trap. I would be inclined to slow down in that area and not risk it, JTK or not. 3 runs? After one with no ticket, I am getting the hell out of there.

I've been pretty non-existent on the forum for the last 4 years and certainly haven't earned any street cred, so take my opinion for what it's worth. I have owned various brands...
I leave POP on my 864. I simply don't encounter the false Ka that some do with it on. I figure it is the was VR intended and it works flawlessly in default settings. I like the response I get to K...
The V1 kicks serious tail on the HWY. I would not travel without it. I went on a trip to Cali and back with a 5 year old 813 that needed a tune and it still gave excellent range on Ka from the...
My 813 will be on Ebay soon. Sorry OP! It's good and all.....but it's a slap in the face to think it's better that the evolution of a king. Shooting for an 872.
X2 My 864 has been flawless on the bogey counter.
When did you buy it?
Aug 2008 new from VR
It's always nice to get something fixed for free. You must have had an issue that was chronic so they took care of you and a group of others as they came in.
I have only talked to one lady since...
My 864 does not ghost. Never had an issue with it.
Solid!
OP: Welcome to Zombieland!
I have mine mounted high just like that. Get a CD and you are set.
I really like my 3.864, it performs very solidly.
I recently bought a 3.813 and had it tuned. It is also a gem. Before having it tuned I went on a road trip and the Ka performance was...
91 in a 70? Did he write you for the whole thing? Yikes!:eek:
This one has always been weird to me.....If it is in the mirror, who is it concealed from? And unless you see a rear arrow, why are you looking in the mirror? I use a CD to mount the RD high and...
Give me a break. I don't blame VR at all for their dealings with this customer. He has no idea what he wants. He has owned two very good detectors and complains when they do what they should. Cry...
You have returned a V1 and a 9500IX? You need to make up your mind as to what you want. The V1 was acting fine. Keep it.

:violin:
I just bought an 813 also. It was weak on K so I sent it for a tune. Now it's great.
I love my 813.
My old department had an X band hand held that my Sgt dug out once and a while just to screw with people. We actually had it calibrated each year and used it to cite. Not in MA, in Utah.

Valentine has a patent on pwn that never expires! :D
"pwn"? What is that?
I went over to the Escort forum to poke around a bit. What a boring forum. We welcome you (if you think like us and talk about what we want you to). Who's running that place? Kim Jong IL? ...
Ya, can we put a lid on this thread?
I'm out!
How many coats are needed to be effective?
It sounds like the cheaper models were a symptom, not a cause. Moment of silence....:(
I like that set up. I have thought of using the visor clip in that fashion as well, I am glad to see it worked. I should go look closer at mine.

I had the DSP and loved it. I also got a ticket from Ka shortly after I bought it and questioned why CM made that without Ka. I did briefly have a 4500, hated it. The models that followed...
