Re: How much heat will fry the V1?

I live in the hottest area of the USA and my car is black on black. I custom installed the CD in the dash but the v1 rides on the passenger visor. No direct sun and I use a windshield sun protector...
  2. Re: 2011 Maserati Granturismo S Laser Interceptor Quad HP and 100% Stealthed V1 inst

Looks great although the V1 is shooting directly into the front view mirror. I would be concerned that it would degrade the performance. Even so, I'm tempted to call them and have one fabricated.

Re: Just got a ticket with my redline

I'm late to the thread but like a lot of folks have stated, IO is IO. I have the RL and V1 although I don't run them at the same time, I still prefer the V1 with Ka Guard 'OFF' and alerts well...

    Re: Second Thoughts...

I have both and have run both on the same 400-mile routes twice, but not at the same time. In each case it’s been 95% freeway with very predictable enforcement zones. I find the Redline to be...

    Re: V1 Grand Touring.... ordered.

I have the V1 GT and I love it! In my area I can safely run with X/K OFF and once I set the Savvy dial to 35, it only yaps when things' are real. Even picked up my first laser scatter yesterday with...

Re: Laser jammer vs RD in my state

Location, Location, Location. I suppose if I lived in a high use laser zone I wouldn't have two RD's and no laser cm. I believe more Lidar isn't that far away, but for me, and in my area of travel,...

    Re: 2008 BMW 335i install

Hard to go wrong with the 335i and from what I've been reading, the 905 will eventually be great. I have the Redline but its now in reserve after I received the V1 893 w/Savvy.

    Re: Automated tickets

'Change we can believe in'... Its all about money and government control. BTW: Products like Waze will become more popular and its already helped me a few in less than a month.
  10. Re: Stealth Valentine 1 Install on Saab 9-3 Aero

Based on your pics and this thread I went ahead and bought the colored CD and I remain interested in the mounting box. Still, I'm a bit concerned with the reduced effectiveness regarding placement....

    Re: Hello from Texas

Welcome from Arizona! I guess a lot of folks are already out and about while a few of us are stuck inside. The temp is currently 114-degrees so I'm still deciding if there is anything I need to do....

    Re: Funny RD placement

Well, I'm not sure how funny that is but sitting in direct sunlight isn't helping.

    Re: Hot 3.893

Yeah, when I decided to change from my Redline to the V1 893, I went from 'just another gadget' to a full-fledged hobby. The downside is that I'm now spending a boatload on accessories. Oh well -...
  14. Re: Is the Redline actually going to get band segmentation THIS YEAR?

Wow! That makes me feel a lot better since I recently purchased the V1 893 w/Savvy, colored CD and Extended Remote. My not-so-old Redline w/Live is now in my emergency rental-car-kit in the glove...
  15. Re: Is the Redline actually going to get band segmentation THIS YEAR?

I’m still new to all of this but I got so tired of slaving my Redline to use Live/Bluetooth that I eventually stopped using the ‘Live’ interface. My typical trips from home to elsewhere averages...

Re: V1 CD not working with Savvy.

Well, I just received a multi-colored display from Radar-Mirror and it's an ESP and so is my new V1. It didn't light up from Savvy or from the cig adapter that came from V1. I played with the...

    Re: SpeedCheetah customer service.

I just went through two days of asking a slew of questions to Cheetah Customer Service 'Stuart' in the UK and he was very helpful. In the end I purchased the C50 w/Platinum 'lifetime' updates from...

    Ready, Camera, Action…

Not sure if this is the best category placement as it crosses over to a specific RD but whatever.

Currently, I’m running the V1 893 w/Savvy and I’m already on the primrose path to adding the STiR+...

    Re: Blinder Compact HP-905

I'm not in a Lida area although I'm in for the 905 triple or quad as soon as I can swing it. The size of the hardware is really impressive!

    Re: 1st Day With Redline

I didn't attempt to run both but I took along the RL on my last long trip. The new V1 w/Waze & Savvy was pretty sweet. Although Waze is not at all a reliable camera notifier, it was nice to have the...

    Re: 1st Day With Redline

    Hi Super Dave,
OK, I guess if you didn't get it I should keep my day job and leave the humor alone. Anyway, with the Redline alerts my head swivels around as I try to find the threats.
  24. Re: SO, what is more effective against real police lidar. Blinder hp-905, or LI?

Based on the test results that RR presented I'm more interested in the 905-Q. Then again I'm not currently in the market since Lidar is in such limited use in my primary zone.

    Re: 16 miles, 4 instant-on traps

Hmm, interesting thread. I have the Redline and it’s very effective but since I received the V1 .893 w/Savvy set to 35mph I can’t believe its accuracy with I/O and most everything else. No, not quite...
