Down here in southern Louisiana, I've never gotten a K-band that I confirmed was an actual officer. The only times I have gotten K-band officers was going out of state into Mississippi and Florida. ...
Whatever your reasons for picking up the Valentine One. . .
It's the best purchase you've made in a long time :D
Enjoy it!
And for all those talking about leaving your detector plugged...
I was disappointed to find out how much stuff there is to mount, and how for the Valentine you have to get the remote audio jack for it to work (another fifty bucks and yet another thing to mount)....
If you can see absolutely no vehicles ahead whatsoever, I would definitely be on the lookout for instant-on.
But really if you can see any cars at all up the road, chances are your V1 will pick...
You could probably get a little more than that. . . but you'd probably have to wait a little longer. I'd stick with $350, $375 tops.
I remember back when it was still in the works it was supposed to be close to $400. But that quickly changed. . .
Oh well.
When I had my Bel V995 (midgrade I suppose), following my dad with his Valentine One I noticed he had consistently 20-30 seconds more warning than I did (he'd get on the brakes 20-30 secs before I...
If the girl is hot enough you should turn that thing off and cruise.

One weird thing I noticed. . . when driving up to a ton of speed signs and such, if I put my hand up to the detector (sides or front) the arrows start flashing from front to side to back and all over...
What about. . .
if you hit some deep standing water with them mounted in lower grille area?
Would being submerged in water affect the units?
A refurb is the way to go if looking for a discount. Ten percent is pretty significant.
Supposedly they always say there's a waitlist but most everyone I've heard said that despite being told the...
If you simply prefer the Escort, okay, I understand. . . blue is prettier than red.
If the money is the only thing holding you back, pony up the extra bucks for the V1. . . you won't regret it :)
I need to get me one of those plates that you can blank out with a switch. Or something :D
How is that possible? :D
I mean, if the beam is only yay big, how can something not hit by the beam pick it up?
I likah the black.
Last thing I need is something shiny on my windshield.
However, I could go for some different color LED's. . . . VR says they've experimented with others but none perform...
Escort Smartcord's mute button doesn't work with the V1 :(
Congrats on the V1! :D
On the updated LI website it talks about the sun interference problem.
Nice to hear it's no biggie.
:)
It would prolly be better to remove your stuff from the bonneville than leave it on when selling, since they really won't add value to the average buyer.
But you gotta see the lancer first. $2500...
I like the way Ivan thinks :)
If you go fast enough the radar waves can't catch you.
But that's quite fast.
Think about how much it will cost you to bring the car to where you want it.
. . .mmkay. . .
Now think about what you could go out and buy *right now* for that amount of money.
If it's an effed up unit like you say it is, unless you don't value your time you're prolly making the right choice.
I'd rather spend $200 on another used one that looks like a solid unit than...
Over the summer I drove a lot of I-10 /twinspan through the dell and into Mississippi. Approaching the twinspan from both sides on multiple occasions I saw officers aiming laser guns (although most...
Yes there is a catch which makes it impossible to return it. . . .
. . . it's kicks so much booty that you'll want to keep it.
