if the blinder's firing is indeed affecting the LI's ability to determine which gun it is jamming against like i had guessed, it is possible that it begins jamming immediately with the generic...
i would go out there with a camera like speed-dreams said, and see if the jamming diode begins firing immediately, or if it is also delayed like the audible alert. A cell phone camera usually works...
if X and K are off, then A , l and L modes are all exactly the same anyway. The logic only applies to x band, and k band only if you turn it on in the programming options.
yup i thought of that also, what it would have to do is record the strength right at the start of the lockout and only compare the recorded signal strength to the current at the time you enter the...
i have to say, i dont like that one at all, It defeats the whole purpose of truelock. If i want my detector to be quiet when i'm not speeding, i'll just turn the volume off. The whole idea behind...
you are correct, that is how it is supposed to work. less aggressive muting on single-source signals is part of the "logic". And as you saw, Big L mode is always more of a risk.
kind of, except that the v1 doesn't know the difference between an x band false and a weak instant-on shot that you are picking up from a distance. That's why it gives much greater priority when the...
I really dont want to get into this, but if the 9500 is much quieter in highway mode with GPS off, then that just means it isn't as good of a detector. If GPS is off and no filtering is enabled, then...
33% actually. 2 alerts, 6 chances.
right outside my house would a be a good truelock test. i've got 2 false k band sources and right in between them, a spot where there is almost always a cop...
there is most definitely an audible difference between k and ka. I think as VR puts it, k is "brap" and ka is "brap-brap" (x is "beep"). I personally find it very easy to distinguish between them...
valentine sells a remote audio adapter for motorcycle users
he did though, at least according to the first post :)
you should really read your manual, the V1 laser alert is very distinctive, you really should be able to instantly identify it and slow down immediately until you can identify the source.
it's called instant-on, the cop doesn't have to leave his radar running constantly. You were lucky enough to pick him up the first time it went off, most likely targeting someone ahead of you, and it...
Im not sure that would work because k-band falses are rarely a single signal. Most stores that have auto doors will have more than 1 opener. My local supermarket has 8, and i've noticed that when...
this type of mount is very easy to level in any direction you want just by adjusting the mirror stem.
most mirrors adjust from both the stem and from the point where the mirror connects to the...
i have this one The Radar Mount for the Escort or Beltronics
i would think in this setup the rear radar sensor will still work, it will just have somewhat reduced sensitivity, especially compared to the front sensor which should have better than normal...
why not just turn your volume knob down to zero if you are in traffic? you're obviously not going to be speeding.
do you have an older version? apparently they are much less detectable for some reason than the latest.
yeah GOL did some testing on it, newer model V1's are detectable even farther than that.
it's not undetectable, 600-800 ft on the spectre.
People seem to generally be pretty pleased with the latest (3.872).
i also have mine angled downward SLIGHTLY
