Absolutely smoked an AL state trooper Sunday. Got around 2.5 miles of warning from his C/O Ka. He was parked on the right shoulder facing with traffic, shooting rear and forward facing. Nice...

Interesting. Was it Decatur PD? I am saving up for a LI so I can be prepared when AL state troopers make the upgrade.
This past weekend I had a Mercedes S500 trip my V1 on K band. Bogey counter was indicating two K sources. I know it was the Mercedes as there were no known falses in the area and the arrows would...
I always warn with the foglights. Gets the point across at night so someone doesnt think you are telling them they have their high beams on.
little L, automute, x band off. Problem solved.
Its the gift that keeps on givin the whole year round Clark.
Besides my friends, I have only see one other V1 while driving.
I have four friends with RD. One has a V1 and he is the one that convinced me to buy mine. The other three: 9500i, Vector 955 and RX 65
Now just turn POP off and avoid those annoying "J"'s :D
+1. I am just fine with Valentine Research website version 1.000. Save the effort and work on V1 3.873 with new and improved off axis 35.5 detection.
The list of laser falses include most new Infinity's, some Mercedes and Volkswagen (laser adaptive cruise control). The sun has been known to cause laser falses as has the third brakelight in most...

I will be taking my 3.872 on a 2 hour trip this Friday with Ka guard off to see what it is like. I am going to have POP off on the way up on Friday, and POP on, on the way back Sunday. Will report...
I still have doubts sometime about my Ka being diminished on 35.5 but the GOL test shows it was weak anyway on that frequency.
Thanks to GOL for conducting these tests. Agree with most of the other posts on here regarding the 3.872 and Ka guard on/off testing. Since you guys had more than one 3.872, it would have been cool...
I am back from my FL trip and have to agree with OPTIK. I turned Ka guard off and had POP on. Since I was driving late at night there wasn't much traffic, so relative quiet. I had only a few falses...
Thats the million dollar question right there. Even if POP on slowed down reaction time on non-pop frequencies, by how much really? Is the 0.5 second increase in reaction time enough to warrant...
Off for me. J-Outs and falses on Ka are too much to handle with it on.
Is this doctor visit covered under government run healhcare? :haha:
So what I am getting from the four pages of posts on this topic is as follows:
1. Unless the V1 is your second line of defense (you are running a remote mount as your primary), you are better off...
