So, as soon as I have time during daylight hours (read: on the weekend ), I plan on installing my lpp (finally ). But after looking over everything, I still had a few questions and I figured why should I try to go it alone when I have a whole forum 8) . I tried using the search function (I know, if you're like me, when you see a question that's been asked already you roll your eyes - if these questions have been asked, just asking you to point me in the right direction )Anyway, as for mounting the actual head to the car, I am planning on using the 3M automotive tape that I've read is really good (haven't gotten to the auto parts store to check if they had it yet). My question is this, if you are planning on a "no drill" bumper install, would you still use the supplied mounting bracket - tape the bracket to the bumper - or just tape the head directly to the bumper? I'm guessing it's probably wiser to tape the bracket, so the head is untouched, but that leads me to my next question, how do you actually get the head to stay in the bracket? It fits snug, but obviously slides right out, tape it?
Also, more random question that should probably go in the cheetah section, but just so I'm understanding this, when using the cheetah remote kill switch, an alert is received, you hit the off button once, does the system mute but still jam and only stops jamming after second hit of the off, or does the system (jamming and sound) turn off completely at one hit of the off button? I'm not sure how it happened but I had confused myself with this one.
I'll get pics up of the install in due course, obviously. Thanks!
