Default V1 and CB install (Mini Cooper)

Nothing too exciting but thought I'd share it....

The V1 (it sits level I just don't have the right angle witht eh camera).....

Audio remote where nobody will need to see me reach for the V1 to adjust the volume, mute or shut it off

The CD, to the right of the tachometer (that contains my digital speed readout) set into the dash (old photo it's all about A mode now)

The CB, a Cobra 29 LTD Chrome, behind the passenger's seat so it's out of the way but within easy reach, runs to an external speaker for better audio

Left to right, NMO HAM antenna, Lil Wil CB base, RS scanner antenna

    No Jammers........

    Here's the external speaker

These little buggers are on clearance at most of the radio shacks I've been to in the last month and are crazy loud and smaller than most any I've seen available.

The rear seat is a bench on metal that surrounds the plastic fuel tank, so I pulled the carpet back then removed some of the sound deadening foam beneath where the bracket would be (about 3/4 the depth of the foam had to be removed) then very carefully pre-drilled the holed so as not to puncture the fuel tank (didn't even come close but for where I was working every precaution was taken) then used the supplied screws and mounting bracket then slipped the radio into place. It sits just high enough that I don't need to use a right angle adapter for the antenna coax feed.

Really, really nice work, Bro! I want to see if I can get my V1 clip up under the headliner like that. My passengers are tired of not having a sun visor!

Nice looking install. I like the way the detector is against the roof.

Did you have the CB tuned for max preformance?

It's a "legal" CB, but the 29 has a delta tune so if I need to get it on frequency I can do it right from the front of the radio but unlike Rob's experience I seem to have one on the better end of the quality control spectrum
