Nice CD changer controls next to your stereo remote. That tray would be a good place to get some ABS plastic and cutout a nice little surround for it and make it disappear at will, which is good for traffic stops (even where RDs are legal) and anti-enticing for theft.
Did you try the horn closer to the front plate? Just for visual stealth and a little more clearance from the road debris of snow/ice off trucks and such.
Also I forgot to mention the switch next to the cruise control button is the kill switch.
That was the first time I've used a dremel and I'm pretty happy with the results.
Great install so far. I highly suggest you try what Motor On suggested as the ideal location for your control panel and display.
Where did you but it at? anywhere on the internet..
I wanted to buy it online but I couldn't find a website that was an "authorized beltronics dealer" that still had them in stock so I had to drive to philly (which sucked btw, I'm never going to philly again) because I wanted to have an actual warranty.Where did you but it at? anywhere on the internet..
I'll have to check my recipt, when I get back to school tomorrow I'll post the exact place but it was the last one they had. I paid $600 which he claimed was what he paid. I've just been bitten a few times without buying warranties so now I always try to with electronic stuff.
On a site note I had a 7 hour drive today and really liked the display where it was. I had enough cord that I could put the display by the gauges, and when I was in more stealth needed territory it stayed in the box.
I may keep it like that; definitely want to do something different with control unit though.
