I would be worried about off-axis shots on the front with the head recessed like that. Also Cliff, should I try flipping my heads vertical on the rear? I'm curious why the owner didn't want to.

It was his call. I prefer as close vertically and horizontally to the taillights as possible and horizontally. Only testing will tell for sure, as with any install.

I hope you're telling these guys that, when they get pwnt, to not go bad-mouthing the LI, because it's their own fault for getting crappy installs.

How does a vertical install effect LI compared to horizontal?

The LI works very well mounted vertically as long as they are straight and level. Some say extreme off axis shots may pose a problem but some haven't had an issue. Logic suggests this to be true but testing of conventional horizontal installs from an overpass resulting in PT at 80 feet aiming at the roofline.

it'll be interesting to see how well this turns out, mounting them vertically instead of horizontally could defiantly give different results. Hope we get to see some videos of the test.
