I'm also crazy over the LFA. For some reason it just hits the right buttons for me. I understand the comparisons with say... the GTR, but the GTR is earning a reputation as very 'uninvolving' or unexciting. Like the computer won't let you drive it poorly. Plus it's styling doesn't do it for me.

As for the "Just a Lexus" criticism. The LFA gets a pass from me on this too. The Corvette is 'just a Chevy', but that means something, since it inherited Chevy's crappy interior materials and build quality. The LFA is pretty much a bespoke sports car, front to back. All of its parts are specially made.

I would definitely pass a Ferrari for an LFA. Don't trust Ferrari build quality. I know a few Ferrari owners in Miami and their cars are constantly in the shop for something. Problems with the engine, the active suspension and the sequential transmission are incredibly frequent. I wouldn't anticipate those issues with an LFA.

That said unless you have hundreds of millions there is no cause to be spending that much on a car. The Nissan GTR and the Corvette ZR1 provides better performance than any Ferrari at a fraction of the price and those cars can handle day to day driving. Above $100,000 there are significantly diminishing returns.

my opinion on the ZR1 - needs a better interior and AWD, too much power through the rear wheels makes it basically impossible to go through a corner and accelerate. It is fast in a straight line but having to turn a corner basically makes it no faster then cars with much less power.

    I don't like it.

That aside, I really doubt it is as exclusive as the "Enzo Club". IIRC, you had to have owned an F40 and F50 to be invited to buy the Enzo.

The Challenger is a nice car but it is no super car. The Viper is an even nicer car but still not in the same league. Given your Handle, I do understand your enthusiasm for the Mopar products.

But that would be like calling the Subaru Impreza WRX STi a Super car. Fun but not even close.
(It will blow the doors off of a Challenger though )
