Or sell it and buy the undetectable STi. As you can see by the video above, your X50 is extremely visable to Spectre and is going to get you caught. Then, you'll have to pay that additional cost.

Almost all of the spectre's in VA are used by the state police. Most of them run the spectre without radar which makes them harder to spot.

There are some things in your favor though. Its safe to say a majority of the spectre's are used by CVE division of the state police. Also, if your going to be in the Northern VA area the constant traffic greatly diminishes the spectre's effectiveness.


If you drive with caution, be alert of your surroundings and have a kill switch you should be good to go. One of my co-workers drives around with an X50 and hasn't had any issues to date.

Where are you in VA? If it's northern va you can hang it up. Your going to get caught. There are several state troopers in this area that have them. Not to mention the X50 can be detected from 1k away! Wow, might as well have a neon sign saying, "here I am".

i have a friend thats been using his escort for 2 years in northern virginia now, and all of his friends have detectors and have never gotten a radar detector ticket. and he doesnt even turn it off when he sees cops

you guys are very pessimistic.

if i get caught, i will come back and say so.
