Default Stand-alone VG2 or Spectre detector?

I know some radar detectors (Cobra) can alert to VG2 and Spectre I. It seems to me that this would be a nice warning to have and possibly might help with IO detection to a degree because the LEO might leave his VG2/Spectre unit on continuously, yet have his radar on hold.

That being said, does anyone know of either a stand-alone unit capable of detection or better yet, do any of the decent manufacturers (Valentine, Escort, Bel) have plans to make an integrated unit with radar/laser AND VG2/Spectre detection? I doubt it, but it would be pretty bada*s. A guy can dream, right?

Well first your post should say "Cobra Says..." instead of "I know..." (Cobra) can alert to VG2 and the Spectre.

Cobra's claim is without merit. Stealth Micro systems recalled the Spectre I to upgrade them to Spectre II, so there are no Spectre I units in use today by police.

I've also tested the Cobra to see if it would alert to my Spectre II and/or III and it does not:

Even funnier is how far away Cobras are detected by Spectre RDDs. You might as well be driving with a big rotating searchlight atop your car.

Just think if an army of drivers invaded Virginia each with Cobras, they could drive the LEOs nuts. If you want to find a detector will give hundreds, if not thousands. Instead of detection how about saturation.

I believe that was the reason why SMD came out with the spectre 4 that is less sensitive to cobra's. By decreasing it's sensitivity, it also can pinpoint violators much better.

See my perfect example of how this works when I tested it around a year ago...I can detect a high end unit with a junk detector next to it, flick a switch and the junk detector disapears....
