Can the spectre be detected?
Just like the tittle says, can the spectre IV be detected? I am assuming it can as it's very similiar to a regular radar detector.

I was just wondering if it was. Someone who knows for sure if can be, and at what range it could be please chime in.

Re: Can the spectre be detected?
Cobras claim they can detect Spectre, but from what I understand they can only detect Spectre I which is no longer in use.

this is true!!
the cobra can detect spectre 1 and 2.
cops are mostly using 3 and 4 if i am not mistaken. long story short, you need a spectre 3 or 4 to see if cops have a spectre.
not a very cheap purchase

Re: Can the spectre be detected?
Or you can get a detector that can't be detected by Spectre and then your problem is solved.

Having this ability would be anything but useless to us who live where Spectre is used. If LEOs are in the habit of leaving their Spectres on all the time, you could have a very useful LEO detector that works wheather the LEO is using IO, CO, Lidar, or VASCAR, or just sitting by the highway bored looking for someone to harass.
Also reference the recent posts about Texas LEOs using Spectre to deliberately target RD users with IO - a Spectre detector would effectively neutralize that tactic.
No tool is useless in our struggle. Some are less practical than others but having and exploring more options is always better.
