Spectre Drone Test Available?
Is there anyone on the board willing to run a spectre test on a "device" I'm creating? I posted in some other threads about this.
I have a cheap cobra (from Craigs List) that cycles on and off. 4 seconds on, 20 seconds off using an electronic timer circuit. For the next version I may make those times adjustable.
I'd like some opinion as to how it would affect a spectre user. I'm hoping the "drone" would be confusing and annoying to a LEO using a spectre. Also, possibly getting him to fire his radar gun prematurely if he gets a sudden blast from the drone on the spectre.
If someone has a spectre, is willing to test, and post a review/video Just PM me.

Re: Spectre Drone Test Available?
Once I get the drone control circuit on a PCB and connectorized, I'd ship it to the spectre owner. I'm not expecting anyone to ship their spectre. All I ask is for a test, review, opinion , a video if possible and to return the drone when they are done.
Also, if this works, anyone know where to find a bone pile of working junk radar detectors? Ones that are particularly annoying to the spectre but don't intefere with other radar detectors too much would be best.

Re: Spectre Drone Test Available?
Ok the prototype is done and ready for test. I purchased a cobra ESD6060 as the source of the spectre drone. Its connected to a timimg circuit that turns on the cobra for about 3 seconds and then off for 20 seconds.
Anyone willing/ready to test it against the spectre3/4?

Re: Spectre Drone Test Available?
I don't have a Spectre, but i'm curious as to what you're trying to accomplish exactly?
You're just trying to aggravate cops? You're trying to draw a reaction out of them? TRYING to get shot with I/O?
I'm just not clear what you're up to.

Re: Spectre Drone Test Available?
The primary intent was to get the LEO to fire I/O in advance of the approach. If suddenly he gets a strong spectre reading from out of nowhere, I wanted to prompt a premature I/O shot and hopefully detect the shot inadvance.
The secondary intent was to distract the LEO by generating intermittent strong signals on his spectre. Maybe creating doubt about his equipment or causing him to adjust settings on the spectre vs running instant on.
I'm not trying to get shot by I/O or aggravate anyone. It was a brainstorm and a quick electronics project.

I'm the last person to criticize you for a project, and please don't misunderstand my post. I was HOPING your intention would be to aggravate, and my comment about you WANTING to get I/O was right along the lines of what you describe. My only concern with this idea is that if you're they only car on the road, he's going to wait until you're within range to shoot YOU anyway. This WOULD be very useful if you were using a rabbit, though.

Edit: Would you mount this in your vehicle or under the hood?

Assuming it works, I'd mount it under the hood somewhere with a kill switch. And yes if traffic was light, I'd have to keep it off to keep from getting shot.
Tactical, yes an Sti would be undetectable, but it wouldn't do much to flush out radar in advance of the approach.
