My math says a ticket every ~11min. But still, you were obviously kept busy.
I/o K-band?
What was the highest speed you ticketed? Well...measured, without any 5mph breaks?
EDIT: Because it's kinda 'your' thread, just curious how many times per year are you called to court for someone fighting a speeding ticket?

I don't sit very long. It takes me about 3 min to fill out the ticket, it's a little under 4 for the whole stop. We don't have the electronic ticket writers yet and we probebly won't. The company that prints our tickets is a minority owned company so they have a contract.
Highest speed 48.
Average speed cited was 40 to 41.
Slowest is 38.
I go to court around 2 to 3 times a week. Mostly for ALR and Pre-trial for DWI. Municiple court maybe one of 3.
Edit, oh yeah, I/O k-band. I'm your huckleberry.

Yeah, I thought about stopping and having a quick chat with you, but like you said, that area was pretty tight to park on the side and you were pretty busy writing those tickets, lol. I was wondering if you were running I/O K band, I wasn't getting any early detection until it was too late (thanks for the confirmation). You were very well hidden. I can see why you set up there, it can be pretty dangerous considering the road and the area. Maybe next time I will stop and say hello.

Please do. Just pull into the Golf course parking lot and wait till I get back. Then wave me down. I have no problem talking to anyone and I would enjoy the chat.

I could make it one day, but not both, so I chose the laser day. I'll see ya there. Probably stay the night and hit the night life before driving back home the next day. Unfortunately, I didn't get my new car when I was hoping, so I still don't have a jammer installed. But at least I can test my V1 laser detection and have a chat.
By the way, I tested your radar off the mirror technique yesterday. Wow! It works like a champ! I'm impressed! I'd get their speed off the mirror, then hit them from the rear after they passed, and there was no discrepancy in speeds. I never tried that as an officer, but then again, I almost always used dash mounted guns, not handhelds.
Incidentally, while testing that out, I was sitting on the shoulder at the bottom of a hill, on an Interstate access road with a PSL of 40mph. My mirror was set for the peak of the hill so I could see them coming over and hit them. Light traffic, so a couple minutes might pass between targets. Suddenly, this silver car (maybe a GTO?) tops the peak and just stops right in the middle of the road. He's just sitting there, and I can't figure out why. My car definitely doesn't look like LEO. Then, all of a sudden, he floors it. By the time he passed me, he was at 94mph. Within seconds he disappeared at 117. Obviously the idiot didn't have an RD. I sure would LOVE to have taken him to jail for the night!
Sometimes I miss the good ol' days!

I will be more in the 5800 blk. Just see where I'm sitting and wait until I'm done with the violator.
See you then.

Fritter, barring contradictory evidence, my apologies!
I honestly *never* expected this one to pan out!
LOL! Well, I have no doubts about Fritter's LE status, so I figured it must work if he said it did. But I admit that I was sceptical about how well it would work, because honestly, I had never heard of it before. Dude, it was simply amazing! I think of all those times that I sat perpendicular to the road running radar, when I could have simply parked parallel to the road and shot through the RVM. I like it!
I would like to see if it is addressed in any technical or operational manuals, or has ever been challenged. But from that I saw, there seems to be no doubt that it works, and works accurately.

^ I didn't think that it would have been right of me to make any assumptions, one way or the other, as to what or whom Fritter is/was. I never drew any conclusions, in that respect. Until I meet a "e-person," live, I just don't do that.
What I doubted was his claim that a good enough signal can be obtained via the rearview, using RADAR.
And that is what I'm apologizing to him for.
-----------
Now, the question is whether or not this will stand up to full courtroom scrutiny......
Any technical or legal precedents for this, that anyone here knows of, and can provide proof of?
