Georgia uses VASCAR and airplanes, both fairly rare though. There are also a couple of counties with POP.

Delaware uses planes on I-95, I-495 and Rt. 1. Rare, but they do at times. There have been writeups in the new paper about this so it can be confirmed.

Does anyone know what type of laser is used in WV. I live here and have not yet had the pleasure of seeing a patrol car with laser in it. But I have seen them setting along side the highway blasting speeders.

I live in Fresno and see k band all the time. The greater fresno area has around 1 million people also. Its not as large as the bay area or southern CA but its not exactly a hole in the wall town either.

The chp does not use K band. They use 34.7 Ka stalker radars. The only place you will find k band is local pd and possibly sheriffs.

The Fresno pd seems about half and half at the time but I have never seen a fresno pd on a motorcycle using ka band. I have only seen them use k band.
i've driven to fresno enough doing gigs for work. I have never encountered K band there, but I don't speed in town so I could care less anyways.

Also, you are off on your size. Fresno is bigger then it would seem to be (around 3 million), but it is less then 1/4th the size of the bay area and the bay area is less then almost 1/8th the size of so cal. to say a city is bigger in population then half of a state (so cal) is somewhat of a joke.

Learn your facts before randomly saying anything of
nonimportance.
Fresno 3 million? Maybe in 25 years.

Minneapolis metro Interstate system seems to be really stepping up the laser attacks, seeing less and less radar use, any of the rest of the Minnesotans notice this.

I can't prove it, but I have a strong suspicion that South Carolina either has or had VASCAR at some point in time. Around here there are lines painted across the interstate several hundred feet apart at just about every overpass. It would be a simple matter for them to time you between the lines from above and run down the ramp after you. And I can't think of any other good reason for pairs of white lines across the road like that.

Yes! They love to hide under the bridges at night time, but I notice radar seems to be more common.

Sethy, You spelled Minnesota wrong in the list.

Indiana state troopers now have and commonly (especially in indy and gary areas) use laser. I have seen kustom PLIII and prolites mostly.

I am about to make my quarterly trek going from Texas to New Jersey, then to Michigan. I'll see if this list is trustworthy.

Default Re: List of radar bands in the U.S

I can confirm ENRADD in PA, I saw the PSP running ENRADD on I-180 near Williamsport last week, and my brother got an ENRADD ticket on 15 about a year ago.

This list doesn't seem too up to date or maintained, is there a more up to date listing somewhere? Someone should create a wiki for this.
