never tried the 350, but I had bought the 260 thinking it would be newer/better than lower numbers........come to find out, the 255W smokes it.

I'm so glad I switched to the 255W

I decided to try the tomtom ONE 3rd edition, so far it seems pretty good. I can even get a signal inside a brick building, so its got a good sensor. The only thing that it does not have is text to speech so it does say the street names. I will try it for a while and see if I like it.

have heard complaints about TomToms, but good luck with it.

What have you heard? Yeah they had some problems with map times, usually arising from the tele-atlas maps but from what I can tell I tried using yahoo maps ( they use navteq) and the tomtom to get to the same address and they both came up with the same route. I will see how I like it and I might change to a higher model tomtom becasue this one does not have a sd card slot. That is the only thing I would like to see.

according to the GPS forum I was using, they're slow to update while in motion compared to the Garmin and Magellan models which use more satellites.

The main reason I returned the tomtom one is because it lacked the sd card slot and I was stuck with only 1 GB of memory. Just as a side note, the earlier versions actually had an sd card slot but it was inside of it. You had to open it and you could change the memory. The new 3rd edition does not.
