Can someone recommend a GPS for $200 or less that you can add trapster to fairly easy.

I have the Garmin 330 and a Tom Tom One 3rd gen. Both were very easy to set up with Trapster.
Both are budget units but do what I need them to. I like the Garmin better, but have had it longer and used it more. I like the display on the Garmin as it shows trip data and speedo if you don't need the map. Mainly bought the Tom Tom for the wife.
Both were exactly the same when setting up Trapster. Select the area of map you wish to include, download PIO and camera data to your pc. Then plug in the unit via USB and follow the directions.
I did not have room on either unit for the lower 48 complete data, which is not a problem for me. I think you can add the SD card for more storage. I am not sure about Tom Tom updated, but Garmin cost me 80 bucks to order the update disc.
The only thing I don't like about the Garmin is it does not have spoken street names...Anymore suggestions from anyone?
even though some people don't agree with me look at the nuvi 260, if you don't need a wide screen or a qwerty keyboard than that would be the one. It speaks street names and works really well. You can pick one up from walmart.com for about $200 and that is a good deal in my book.
Are all Garmins easy to install Trapster on? I already have a Tom Tom 720go but can not figure out how to program trapster on it.
yeah garmin is easy, if you need help just ask. This is how to do it on a tomtom
Convert the CSV file you just saved from trapster to a TomTom "OV2" format using this tool:
OV2 Converter Tool
Follow these instructions to install the POIs to your TomTom:
TomTom POI Installation Instructions
On a garmin all you do is download the CVS file from trapster and use the garmin POI loader to load it into the device.
What Garmin did you go with?
I have trapster on both my c330 and mother c550 and I still perfer is on my c330. The features that the c550 have are extremely nice and I think I am going to trade up.
Installing trapster to run on both the c330 and c550 is extremely easy.
Now only if trinity database would work with Garmin's
