Default Best Verizon phone for ext antenna?

I have an extra line I'm not using so I want a simple phone for dedicated car use with an external antenna. I'm constantly dropping calls on the road...

Not really an ext. antenna option for a BB.

get one of these, not need to an direct hook up to the phone. One antenna inside the car one outside, and you can even take it with you in a pouch if needed.

You'd be surprised how much just using a window mount improves your reception. The mount ($20) basically just puts the phone in the best possible position. It's basically doing the exact same thing as hooking up an external antenna and putting it up on your roof does.

Now here's some advice from someone who works in the industry: You should stay away from repeaters and boosters like the one posted for CDMA phones (VZW, Sprint). With CDMA, it doesn't matter if you have one bar or four ... as long as you have a bar of reception, you'll have the same voice quality as full reception. With GSM (AT&T, T-Mobile) phones, however, signal strength actually affects voice quality. Boosters and repeaters take a low reception signal and amp/re-broadcast the signal. So no signal still equals no signal, and low signal becomes better signal. That's great for GSM but it doesn't do anything for CDMA.

I bought two of the wilson phone booster for me and my partner. Paid around 175 each. They have the booster under the seat with a cig plug. You mount the 6" mag mount outside and have to run the wire in somehow. You mount the booster in the cab, mine is under the seat. They do work, but not as well as I expected. When I have no signal I can get a bar but thats it.
