Loaned my Pocket Radar to the local police....
First of all, the Pocket Radar is an amazing piece of technology. It is very well made, comes nicely packaged, easy to understand instructions, and it's very simple to use. The quality of the unit, packaging, and instructions are all very high quality. The Pocket Radar works exactly like they say - just point and push the button. You can get several readings in a row by releasing and pushing the button again. I've tried it on cars, motorcycles, ATVs, baseballs, volleyball, bicycles, etc. - all with no problems.
We're good friends with our local Chief of Police and his wife, and we showed it to them while out to dinner. He tried it from the back seat of my car and mentioned that he thought his officers would love it, especially his motorcycle officers. I loaned it to him so his motorcycle officers could try it out next to their large radar guns. He said they can't write tickets with it (it's not certified to do so), but he wanted to see how accurate it is (it's very accurate). I was driving home from an errand last week and one of the motorcycle officers was stopped at the side of the road, tracking cars - including me - with my own pocket radar! How funny would that have been if I'd been speeding?
Here's another great use: I tracked one of the teen age neighbors doing 54 in our neighborhood (25 mph speed limit). I had a very nice conversation with him (really. He's a very nice young man, just drives stupid). We discussed how each of the children in the neighborhood - including his little sister - are in danger when he and his friends drive like that. It worked, and the Pocket Radar enabled me to do it in a way that couldn't be disputed.
The Pocket Radar is great, and I would highly recommend it for sports, hobbies, and just plain fun.
