Just a thought. Cadillac once had some nifty technology out there. Lidar potential?

So, I just wanted to through something out there for all to read. It is a good article idea. Perhaps further testing may be appropriate before banter. Here are some things that I have.

1. Some older Cadillac vehicles where outfitted with a night vision portion of glass in their windshield. It was to
increase driver awareness at night, as well as safety from deer, children.

2. "This is the most important point." I learned in the U.S. Army that laser beams are readily seen with night vision goggles. This technological advance brings me to a very indeed enthusiastic question?

3. Is it perhaps possible to see the beam with this Cadillac's windshield advancement? Also, this could mean a potential for an advanced visual warning at night of officers shooting Lidar in your vicinity. This information could prove exceptionally useful in the field. Think how amazing this could be? Your driving along, all the sudden you see a beam hit the car to your front. Wham! You decelerate to PSL. Ticket avoided. Officer perplexed? Is this plausible? Any one have any thought's? Any Electrical Engineer's have a thought to share? Thank you for your time, have a pleasant night all .

In order for that to work, I believe the wavelength of the LIDAR would have to be within the visual spectrum of wavelengths that the NVD is capable of viewing.

Though this is possible. Youtube search it. I am readily sure there are alot of films out there documenting this. I have witnessed it myself being in the military. Do not alot of our countermeasures come from that technology? It is possible.

Would be neat to perhaps get one of these old Cadillac windshield devices where one could perhaps spot lidar being shot ahead of you. And not true on the visible spectrum. Most Nods we used on active duty didn't have any visible spectrum unless you had a nod device on you. Thus it is not in the visible spectrum. They make invisible infra-red beams visible in the green part of the light spectrum. Thus a motorist could see a green beam before they are tapped with the lidar in question. Perhaps a small square peice of glass like GM had done it overlayed on the windscreen in the, "right" location could assist in a advanced warning prior to being targeted. Advanced is always better than being under the gun. This would also assist motorist's in area's that are now finding lidar jammers illegal no pun intended but simple food for thought..

I am not saying that you can go buy this device currently. I mean perhaps you can. I know GM made a similar device years ago. Though. I am i guess perhaps stating that production of a device would stand to net someone a healthy profit as well as help us all.


Not sure why everything on this site has to be a war. I guess for some theoretical physics is too much.
