    Default My Uniden R1 display is dying

    I have it on Orange or Red right now. when its on blue in the display half the display is not even there. if I have it on red or orange it all looks ok on the scan mode.

    anyone else? I saw on another forum some people had burn in but i am a member here not there . ill get some pics and post them up.

    I'm only guessing here, but LCD (liquid crystal displays) evaporate over time especially in a car with a hot dash. I go out of my way to avoid buying anything with a LCD display. Displays using diodes are a better choice. My Casio Moon Graph watch face went totally black after 10 years. It's the woes of LCD's.
