Default inside a v1 radar detector

i found this on the net....http://www.ieec.binghamton.edu/ieec/..._detectors.htm

the v1 uses 6 diodes everlikely have the best laser detection!

The Valentine uses six individual infrared laser photo diodes mounted on the laser board and facing the front of the car (two at an angle to obtain greater coverage).

Can anyone open the horn of the V1 to see inside? The inside of the X50 looks similar to the Uniden.

V1.7 generation one laser has 6 diodes on the front bottom. The hole bottom 1/4 inch on of the unit is laser circutry.
However the V1.8 generation three only has one diode next to the radar antenna.
The laser diode is much bigger but the radar antenna is smaller than V1.7

I believe this is an old photo. I have seen one that looks very similar to this one posted for a long time on the net.

Mr. Valentine, please don't void my Warentee because I opened my pop2 V1. I erased all serial numbers on the pics.

I posted these pics before; but now we have more members.
