I just returned from a 2000 mile trip to/from the midwest with my new V1. Here's how it went.
1 actual LEO tracking me right outside of St. Louis. (What's up with that? One?)
1 LEO travelling way ahead of me with radar on.
4 LEOs shooting the other side of highway.
6 or so false Laser alerts. (One by a Hoss's Steak House Neon lights)
8 Js. Seemingly proper. No LEOs anywhere in sight.
About 1 gazillion radar signals from construction signs.
A number of phantom alerts, where I'm surrounded by trees and highway and it is sounding short alerts. (Solar flares?)
Anti-climactic? Just a bit.
Re: Recent Trip
sounds normal to me

Sounds like it already paid for itself....
I don't know if I viewed it that way! To me, I would have been more convinced of its value if it had more of a workout. I would have liked to have seen it perform in various situations. (Remember, I'm one of those Techno-Hobbyist types.) But, the LEOs just weren't active over the last week on my route. That, I guess, *is* afterall the desired state. Ultimately, it is better to have a "quiet" detector than the fun tech-prowess display of a unit under constant fire by LEOs. Right? :?
