    Default Issue with my V1

Last night I was on my way home from work on I-70 When I get blasted by KA. I look around then I get the "J" on my V1 display. I think "oh just a junk signal" I look ahead and their he is sitting in the median. He hits me as I approach at about 300 feet. ...It's good that I picked him up, but I am concerned that my V1 thought it was junk. I wonder if he was using pop mode and the oscillator in his gun was out of wack. Or my V1 may need an adjustment. I have only had a few "Junk" alerts since I have owned it.

    Opinion :?: :?: :?:

P.s That night I got hit with lidar too, on I-675, V1 did pick up the scatter but it was from the car about 200 feet in the front of me. It was almost dark out. So that helped detect the scatter.

Its no problem with your V1, V1's everywhere (.826) are still Junking out real-alerts, the problem is not fixed yet... even though VR begs to differ.

How do you know if the LEO was even using radar unless you turned off your V1 and booted it up again?
Could have been a Crapra passing by when a LEO was simply parked doing paperwork?
Were you actually speeding when you thought you were hit at 300 feet because if not LEO's typically hold off on the instant on trigger until they get a legitimate speeder in their sights.

I've had three J alerts so far with my V1 and each one has been from cheap RD's. So far the J feature is working good on my V1, but I wonder if the J feature has been fixed or what?

    Default j alert

I have received a few j alerts but most came from Cobra rd's, I think one was from a Whistler.

No it hasnt been fixed, the problem with the J feature is not that its not junking out the junk (cheapo rd's) it does that to pretty good indeed... the problem (more importantly) is its junking out LEO's Ka sources.

Yes there was a car about 2000 feet in front of me ...I think it was a Honda Civic or similar. The impression I have is that the Honda was targeted first ..that is what I believe to be the junk signial I recieved. I was definitely targeted at 300 feet. With todays digital radar units (guns) they can clock multible targets at the same time. some can even clock 4 cars at once while moving with 2 antennas (Stalker DSR 2X)

As far as rebooting my V1 ... ? that is not needed just because you get a "junk" reading if that is what you mean? I was going about 5 miles over the limit of 65mph.

Airmoore seems to of made it his life's mission to dis VR. So whatever he writes it seems to be a slightly more dramatic than it really is.
Don't worry about it. It's not gonna get you a ticket and if it does how in the hell did you get a license

Disagree! (partially) From the past experiences I have read from other users, (and 1 "J" experience I had with a leo nearby in heavy traffic) it would be good practice to reboot your rd after a J-out, just in case there is actually a problem with the latest version that VR is aware of and denying for obvious reasons.
