    Default My V1 Photos

Here are some photos of my new V1 and its mounting location. I do have a Beltronics Pro RX65 on the left side (Driver) too, but both devices do NOT run at the same time. I test both when I encounter a CHP and see which one alerts first!

Enjoy! And please tell me your thoughts, opinions, and suggestions as I am keeping an open mind!

Gotta have it high all the time. I was cruising that webshots website for "radar detectors" and some of those mounting pictures make me cringe. I can't believe how some of those people mount their detecters.....geez people really !!!

Even though it is stated by some proclaimed experts that laser will not be detected when the RD is up high,

it has been shown in many test's that the V-1 owns laser detection. And does it just fine when mounted high for best radar detection range too. And if you are in a heavy usage area for laser, I am sure most here would suggest both passive & active laser countermeasures to compliment your new V-1.

We all know veil is excellent at decreasing the effective range of a lidar gun when applied as recommended by the manufacturer.
But the active countermeasures still have me wondering. The videos make them look excellent, but I think a leo with half a brain would try a different part of the car after 1 or 2 seconds of no signal instead of concentrating on a spot that does not give them a signal. I have heard of them getting correct speed readings from mirrors, windshield edges, wheel-well trim, & antennas.
So far I feel that active jammers are a false sense of security for anyone that expects 100% protection from them and does not immediately get on the brakes at the first warning. Although the video work is excellent from the testing sessions I've watched, it does not show me anything solid. it only shows a jammer doing it's intended purpose when aimed at a point near the jammer.

You probably can! When mounted high like that, it's VERY difficult to see from the outside. Mine is mounted similar in my Impala.

The last pic is the V1, but I took it to show my "stealthy" install of the "straight" power cord which runs up underneath the interior of the roof. Where I have it mounted you can't see it unless you get on the ground and look up for and even then it is hard to see. And even from the rear you have to bend down and look up because it is so high. To be precise there is no room for a sewing needle between the end of the roof and the suction cups! I know it is difficult because of the way I took the photo so I understand your confusion

I've had mine in the same position as this for 2 years no problems here in VA. I have a wider tint strip on my front windshield which helps a lot (doesn't effect laser either)... and having the side windows tinted helps keep visibility down as well. The remote display of course is a must!

    Great mounting location.
Move your V1 over to where your RX65 is and sell the RX on ebay.
