    Default V1 Best Price

I have a RX 65 I use on my Bike and My Truck,(switching) I want to get one that's detected to my Bike, I think the V1 is more suited for a Motorcycle.
I've heard great things about it.

Can someone tell me what's the best place to get one?

    Thank you.

The V1 is not a great motorcycle detector... during the day in direct sunlight... throw away the arrows and bogey count, its a much-better car detector.

The only place to get one is directly from VR, there are no other (authorized dealers), not many advise ebay buying of RD's on here.

Want the best motorcycle detector: (BLUE X50), hands down... its the only display which will not dissappear in direct sunlight... you can get that from RadarRoy at www.radarbusters.com

    Default Motorcycle

Why is the V1 not good for a bike? I know about 20 guys that use em on bikes because of the Metal box, and the good quality?

Do you have a reason for your opinion?

    Thank you for your time.

Direct sunlight + V1= No more arrows, no bogey counter, no band identification.

The remote display does help ALOT [because it can be placed whereever] (only sat on one with it, but it still isnt as bright as the blue and does dissappear).... however, thats an extra 40 bucks and then to get extra audio jack for the V1 thats $50, so just to get the V1 that capable on a motorcycle its a 500dollar detector... when for $350 you could have the exact same thing... and again the remote display still isnt as bright as the blue.

Correct, the rear detection is reduced, its not totally blocked... as radar will pass through your clothes or body somewhat, and obviously come by around you, but your right: often since the body blocks some of the radar... unless the V1 is mounted on the mirrors (Ie: outside the bodies path), the arrows get very confused, and rear coverage is reduced.

This is why Mike Valentine himself states mount the V1 as far away as possible from your body... so it doesnt block as much radar (and confuse the arrows).

    Default sunlight

Personally, I have seen where the sunlight was so bright that neither my X50 or V1 could be seen easily. With this same situation using my Bel 995 in Bright mode, I didn't have this problem. This is bound to happen every once in a while to rd users, not see the display. Big irritant folks!
