    Default Sporadic V1 Activity

Had a funny little experience with the V1 earlier today. Sitting in a parking lot, it insisted that there was a strong (5, 6-dot) Ka signal behind me. It had done this in the morning, as well as several hours later.

I turned it off and on - same thing.

Turned it off, got out the x50, and tried that - no Ka.

It (the Valentine) was also not detecting a K-band door opener that both it and the x50 always have - the x50 did, the V didn't. It also incorrectly designated it as X-band for a few seconds.

What is that all about? Is there a known heat issue with 3.821 or something? The x50 was fine through this, and that was the first time something like that has happened.

Were you running the x50 and the v1 at the same time?

Nope, I wasn't. When I had both on at the same time, the behavior was basically the same.

Was your v1 under the influence at the time?

    Any drugs?
    Smoking?
    Alcohol?

Must of pick up some falses. Radar reflects and bounces off metal objects. I would say if it keeps acting up. It might need repair?

    Veri,
I've noticed my V-1 has some strange "quirks" to it.
It works well, but it does some odd stuff with band id, multiple signals that don't exist, etc.
    Here's the link. http://www.radardetector.net/V-1-doe...o-it-1396t.php

I was noticing you were stopped (sitting in a parking lot) at the time.
I almost wonder if the radar beams don't start bouncing around causing the rear antenna to pick things up, etc...
I only came across this since i got a k band gun for some tests, but it has me curious, as to wether it is a hardware or software issue of sorts.
Since i only have 1 radar gun, 1 V-1, and 1 8500 to compare, i don't have much else to go on.
