    Default 3.851 Technical Question (Jimbonzzz?)

I'm curious. How complicated a hardware change is the switch from an analog to digital "temperature compensation" component? Is it likely just a plug-n-play operation or more likely something more complicated that needs to be done during the manufacturing process?

It is probably something that would have to happen during the manufacturing process. Whether VR could just swap out the whole RF module on a unit and leave the rest of the hardware alone, I don't know...

I just received my 1.8/pre-pop unit back from VR. The tech I talked to
stated that "upgrade involved complete replacement of internal components."
Unit came back as a 3.851 with new plastic windows, new control display overlay and the original casing.

Vacation starts Mon. and is going to be about 800 miles of driving,
should be a good shakedown trip for V1....
