Suction cups are all I use and they work fine. No problems at all.

If they are old ones I would replace them. If they are not old, I would suggest a thourough cleaning with rubbing alcohol or distilled water and also clean the windhsield.

Make sure the windshield and the suction cups are squeaky clean. A film builds up on the inside of the windshield as the plastic and vinyl inside your vehicle outgasses.

All of a sudden my suction cups quit holding. I cleaned the glass and the suction cups with glass cleaner and they stick just like new again.

Putting the suction cups in boiling water for just a few seconds works amazingly well.
