E Update and question

okay guys after about 2 weeks

the E only seems to appear if the V1 is HOT before turing it on....... like it is 140* in the cab of my truck and i turn on the V1 it will E

if its cool or i cool for 1 min ute on both side with the ac while the car is wariming up i have no problems even on long drives wit hteh V1 in the sun


weird only seems to happen if the V1 is very hot when it boots


Also when it boots up all the lights come on, then it flashs "P" while the 4 band linghs flash meanwhile the 4th strength light goes out is that normal?

Yes that is normal...it means you have re-programmed the V1 in programming mode, and it is different from the default settings.

You know I haven't had the problem since Sunday. But now that you mention it, I noticed that I also get a 'P' during startup. I checked and you're only supposed to get the 'P' if you've changed the programming, and I haven't. I even checked to make sure all my settings are on the default settings. I have been thinking of turning the pop off. Any thoughts?

On mine with only POP turn off, I dont get the flashing "P" and the programmed indication. I did get that when I had option 5 set to more responsive.

You may be missing the P..O...P it goes through when it boots up! If you have changed program modes your 4 band LED indicators would flash as you boot up as well

yup so why does the the #4 light turn out when those are flashing ???

The flashing lights indicate what programming modes are selected, but I don't know what light corresponds to which mode, other than the band indicators (bands that are on flash, bands that are off don't).
