They do use KA around that area, and I believe that was the major update to 1.8. Even with 1.8- sometimes its still not enough
I would recommend the upgrade.
dallas uses a lot of laser
and according to some people pop is used in plano
i would either buy a new one or buy the 1.7 for cheap and hope you can upgrade it
thanks for the info ...I think I will go with the 7.1 and upgrade??
you can only upgrade if that unit has a clean history ( read; NOT STOLEN) and a legible serial number and the case was never opened. IMHO it is a risk buying a used detector for those reasons. and please do not buy from ebay. You never know what you'll get and very little recourse if you do get a unit with a bad history.
so the only place i should get a V1 is from valentine himself??
does he sell refurbished units cheaper??
thanx in advance
Yes he does. 10% off. ($40 savings).Originally Posted by badwhiskey
and, a refurb comes with all brand spanking new accesories, not a single blemish, the same warranty as new, and no way to identify it as a refurb, so if you decide to sell it, there is no way your buyer will know that it is a refurbed unit unless you tell them. and there is no way you could tell from peformance or physical condition.
it is not like some "open box special" with parts missing, or broken in some hidden way that you'll find exactly 1 day after the warranty ends similiar to the big-box electronic stores will screw you.
you could put a new unit next to 10 refurbs and nobody here could tell the difference.
so use the $40.00 saving to invest in the concealed display that you'll find a reason to need.
