the RX65, X50.... or fill in the blank.
The real question that should be asked is whether or not the V1 is adequate against the Talon, or Stalker..... or fill in the blank, that awaits around the curve, or over the next hill.
Imagine for a moment that no other detectors exist, the V1 is the only one available, and you have paid your $400USD. Are you satisfied with the performance over hills and around curves at 35.5GHz against the Kustom & Decatur product lines?
And my conclusion after 8 mos. is no, even against "constant on" in a rural setting(trees, hills, curves). I believe if you are PSL+10, then you have a 50/50 chance of receiving a citation.
The "arrows" are not going to matter a whit of spit, if the "front arrow" doesn't alert you to a Talon waiting over the next hill. And I believe I have contributed enough to the "Detector Review" section with measured results to be credible.
I am sure an LEO is going to love to hear your story as to how you bought a V1 because it is better than an RX65 or X50. And how he(LEO) got lucky to clock you this time, because you are sure that the next time the mighty V1 will sniff him out first.....well at least that's what all the guys on the V1 forum are saying.....
