Default Valentine reacting to iDrive screen

Funny thing, I got a V1 a few days ago and I have it hard wired in my BMW 530d. At night I remove the V1 from the car, and usually I get laser warning when removing the V1 from the visor.

I just figured it out, the V1 always gives a laser warning when pointed at the iDrive screen, but only if the front (larger radar area) is pointed at the screen, not with the button side facing the iDrive screen

Just decided to add this if anyone was having a simular experience.

I've noticed that w/my Lifespeed mod'd Concealed Display, I get a laser alert when I point the detector at the Concealed Display. The range is really short and it has to be just the right alignment, but I thought this was pretty fun as I'd never heard a laser alert in person (thankfully)

ditto w/ the ML's MCS LCD display. I'm surprised it reacts to that as well since it's not laser...

obviously the nav-screen is emitting IR light at or near 904 NM.

So the V-1 is doing it's job, Basically.

OK, if that is the case then the back (button side) sencor is not doing its job? Right

The V-1 senses something in the Navi screen! My V-1 goes off (Laser) if I point it at my Nav screen in My L.
