Default I took the V1 plunge!

Well, I decided to go with the V1. About 5 minutes ago, I placed my order for the $400 product .

I sure hope that I am not making a mistake! If they get the detection capability for the MPH Z-35 gun, am I going to have to pay to upgrade? That was one of the only drawbacks that I could see with this device. That and the falsing issues that I have read about on this site.

I do have a plan though. Escort says my 8500 (non X50) will be refurbished to "factory specs" for $50. Then I can sell it on E-Bay for around $100 maybe a little more. That money, coupled with the $50 trade in for my Cobra XR-1010 will allow me to get a 8500 X50 for about $180 ish. Then, I can have the best of both worlds. Nothing like having my cake and eating it too.

I am looking forward to getting my V1. I hope it lives up to the hype, and I don't have to excercise my 30 day money back guarantee. 8)

Let us know how you like it. I am saving for a V1. I think you will get more than you expect for you 8500.

I think you'll be very happy with the V1. I loved the one that my wife made me send back . I plan on getting another one around Christmas time. When a new version of the V1 is available you will be able to put in your serial number on the site to see how much the upgrade costs.

The original 8500 supposedly did better with some photoradar than the X50, so people overseas where photoradar is an issue will pay a premium for the original 8500.

FlyArmy, I have been a user of a V1 for about 8 yrs. and am currently on my second one after upgrading about a month ago. The V1 does double duty in my car and on my motorcycle and has never let me down. Just don't start thinking that your bullet proof or invisible and start driving above Vne and you will never be disapointed in your decision to go with the V!.
