Question to all you v1 users.

Hello all. After reading a post on here about a person who was mad about V1's service and how mike V. was frusterated with the site. To tell you all the truth, I believe i would be kind of pissed off at this site too, He invented a great product, and for the most part it seems everyone is just wanting MORE MORE MORE from V1. To tell you the truth, I have version .26 and now i see they are at .54???? Maybe i have had a few "false J's" but to tell you the truth, i look around my surroundings, check my speed and proceed. I do not Send my unit in right away and want the latest and greatest. I think everyone should be greatful to V1 and what they do. I dont think they have TIME to fix all the bugs when their is always SOMETHING wrong with their detector ( according to users on here ) I think alot of people need to relax a little bit and realize what it is you are complaing so much about - a radar detector. a little metal box that beeps at your when i cop is near. If speeding to you is so much of an obbsession that you have to always be 50 steps in front of the police than so be it. But get off v1's balls. One of these days they may say screw you all and no longer be a company, than what would everyone do!! All i am saying is relax a little bit here people, think like adults - let the people at VR do their job, dont look into every thing the V1 does too deeply. One of these days V1 will come up with a flawless detector, but if they are working on everyones so called "defective units" they cant get any work done. Suction the damn thing to your window and leave v1 alone!

I agree with everything you say. Just bought a v1 couple weeks ago, and it is absolutely brilliant compared to my old $hitler-Pro58.

Nothing is 100% flawless. People that are making noise are the ones that obsessed with their daily driving speed. Maybe that is the only adventurous thing they have in their life, no idea. But I love my V1!

3.856 is what i have and it has been perfect has not "J" d outa real threat and no "E" alerst. love this thing although i do miss my X50 hahahaha

I agree with you. As I put in another reply to a bashing post, I like to see the people on this site talk as if they understand electrical engineering or physics in general. Most people have no clue what it is like to develope a consumer product let alone one that is so high tech. But no matter where you go or what you do, you can't please everyone. There is always one A-hole that has to F it up for everyone else.

I am not a V1 zombie. If I find a better product to fit my needs I will use it.

I also agree with what you are say, get of the mans balls.

I currently have a 3.819 and the 3.826. I am debating on sending the .819 to get upgraded to eliminate the ghosting on K band.

I though miss my old 1.7"?" with the bottom laser. I had better Ka I think, though every lab test and VR states there is no diffference. I do hope that VR has something in the bag for next year. If VR needs to adjust the Ant. for the upper range for Ka, then please do it. K band is awesome, but I could sacrifice a little reduction in K (X too) for some Ka.

This site can be a double-edged sword...

On one hand, there can be a lot of *****ing going on about how the V1 doesn't do this or that and how Bel / Escorts are better etc.

On the other hand, this site is the best form of feedback to any manufacturer. The V1 and other detectors get a lot of praise from this site, and users post real-world experiences.

I'm sure that there are some people that call up VR to tell them that they have a great product, but not many. I think most of the calls they get are for orders and for problems. :wink:

All the irrelevant *****ing aside, there is probably more feedback here than from the calls they get. :idea:

I have the 3.851 and it has been flawless, I dont want the latest and greatest, I just want the greatest. When I spend $400 on a rader detector the d@mn thing better be flawless, or even $300 on an escort it should be perfect.

I agree with you about the people who send their units in at the first sign of trouble, but then again I understant their point of view. If my V1 reports an "E", no doubt I will send it back about the 3rd time it happens, I didnt buy a vowel detector I need my V1 to work like it should.

How would that be possible when V-1 has no authorized retailers and all sales are factory direct?

If the V-1 was available through Roy, I would have purchased through Roy.

The V-1 has met my unique needs in a detector, I do want or need any of the options that most belscorts offer. I especially like the arrows, and everything else about my V-1.
