I have mine mounted top left of the RVM just under the tint. I've gotten laser scatter once on a long straight feeder/frontage road. I came over the top of a small rise and had the thing go off. The cops were so far down the road that I didn't even see them.

I've gotten nailed with laser twice, but i don't think he got a good reading on the first shot so I had a chance to slow down. I drive a miata, so even with the laser mounted at the top of the windshield it's not really that high.

V1 is extremely sensitive to laser. Check out this clip from my LPP test in September.
