OK............... I see what he did, he planted the thing behind the mirror without the RED arrow cover thing and I think he replaced it all with blue, THATS how its blue with no traces of the RED of the arrows
heres the link of HOW he did it:

love everything except the blue arrows. the bogey counter is "iffy" (mixed feelings on it)...but everything else is just too darn cool!
great work!
wish my main V-1 unit had that color display!
mike v...take note!
Too many rainbow colors for my taste and its not too stealthy either. Why spend all that $$$ when you can just look at your V1 mounted high on the windshield anyways?
My favorite post in that thread:
"does valentines one work THAT GOOD??? i spent almost 200$ on a Cobra.. and its giving me SOOOOOOOO many false signals.. yes i have been saved by it.. but the false ones are soo annoying."
That's cool and I've seen it before....but what I don't understand is if you go to all that trouble, why use LED dots for the band ID? Meaning, as he said in his build post that he used different color LED's for band ID....why not make little letters that light up from behind? Instead of a colored dot, you would have a colored Ka, K, X, or L.
VR should make this display mod on the V1....
I like it! The arrows are a bit too bright for being mounted in a RVM though. That would work better in the concealed display. I do like the blue bogey counter and the multi colored LED bar graph.
Blue 7 segment displays (as used in the bogey counter) are difficult to find, plus they are quite a bit more expensive than red. But I do like the blue display. It would match my instrument panel lighting better than the red and would be cool for a concealed display.
LED backlighting of X, K, Ka and Laser icons would be an excellent idea BTW.

just looking at it makes me want a v1 regardless of performance.
